Earlier in April 2019, our team set out to Antalya, Turkey to cover 3 weddings back to back. I must say, the whole experience was a blast. Turkey is known for its vast landscapes. Now imagine being surrounded by green grass, blue waters, white beaches and tall rocky mountains. Well, thats what we experienced while staying at the luxurious Maxx Royal Hotel in Antalya. All 3 weddings were happening at the same hotel, one after the other. All 3 weddings were produced on a high scale, just like the Indian weddings should be. Antalya’s one of the most perfect countries for a destination wedding, especially when it’s done during their spring season. You get the right amount of sunlight and the perfect breeze to balance the weather out. The weather itself was a big win for us as it’s a completely new feeling compared to the hot summers we get in Dubai. Between each wedding, we got one day off where we were given a chance to explore the city. We visited the famous Mount Tahtali and got to see some breathtaking views of the city from the top. Later we drove around the city to buy some souvenirs and do some sight seeing. To talk a little bit about the weddings, we were quite impressed with the large scale designs of the decor. From the main wedding setup, to the sangeets and to the hi-tea parties, everything was glamorous and extravagant. Not to mention, each wedding had famous bollywood artists performing their hit songs at the events. Mika Singh, Vishal & Shekhar and Badshah to name a few of the stars.
One thing I definitely want to talk about is their hospitality. Turkey has to be one of the best countries in terms of how they treat their guests. Their packages include everything you could ask for compared to other hotel packages in other countries, and I guess thats what makes them stand out.
